Linc Energy Systems Now Energy Worldnet (EWN) OQ Certified

 In Utility Contractor Services

I am happy to announce that select Linc Energy Systems employees have received Operator Qualification certification from ENERGY worldnet, Inc. (EWN).

Operator Qualification Training Background

OQLinc Energy Systems conducts hands-on Operator Qualification (OQ) training and certifies operators and contractors of gas pipelines that they are PHMSA compliant. We recently picked up a contract with a Colorado gas distributor to perform calibrations, installations, and services on odorization equipment and electronic correctors. One of our client’s requirements was that any employee working on their assets must receive online Operator Qualification Training certification through ENERGY worldnet (EWN).

Large natural gas companies typically develop their operator qualification programs and take it upon themselves to demonstrate that their staff is compliant with regulations. Smaller businesses and contractors also need to qualify their workers, many, however, do not have the resources to do so. In these situations, it is common to retain the services of companies like Linc Energy Systems and EWN to demonstrate compliance.

ENERGY worldnet (EWN) OQ Training

ENERGY worldnet (EWN) is a professional service and technology firm specializing in training, record management and regulatory compliance for the energy industry. The company began with the focus on operator qualifications relating to the Drug and Alcohol supervisor training, the OQ Rule, and OSHA safety awareness requirements. Since 1994, EWN has expanded its services and systems beyond its operator qualifications, to include online OSHA safety awareness training courses.

EWN offers over 270 OQ online classes. Like Linc Energy Systems courses, they are designed to ensure the workers are qualified to perform their tasks according to the DOT/PHMSA OQ ruling (49 CFR 192 & 195). The classes help employees promote a safer work atmosphere and assist them in identifying and responding appropriately to abnormal operating conditions.

Train-the-Trainer

Randy Bishop, one of our lead technical consultants who conduct hands-on OQ classes for Linc Energy Systems said, “These online OQ classes present an excellent opportunity to remind our technical staff how important it is to not only place our safety first but also, to put public safety first.”

If your company is seeking hands-on operator qualification training, we encourage you to check out more of our programs here. If you are looking for online certification, we suggest ENERGY worldnet.
