Gas Analyzers

Gas analyzers determine the heating value of gas. Along with volume, pressure, and temperature measurements, the caloric value of a gas determines the energy content flowing through a pipeline. A gas analyzer accurately measures the single gas components of natural gas. The analyzer injects the natural gas into a carrier gas stream where the gas separates into its constituents. The heating value, Wobbe-index, and density of the natural gas is calculated from the component concentrations.

Gas analyzers provide insight on the energy content of any gas for custody transfer (billing) purposes, for plant control and measure almost any gas mixture.

The Honeywell EnCal 3000 Biogas is a gas analyzer, or gas chromatograph, that has been engineered for custody transfer of treated biogas.
