Now Distributors for Pro-Line Safety Locating Wire (Copper and CCS)
I am happy to announce that Linc Energy Systems is now a distributor for Pro-Line Safety Products tracer wire for underground utilities.
Pro-Line Safety Products
Pro-Line Safety Products is the largest manufacturer of tracer wire for locating underground utilities. The company offers products for gas, water, sewer, fiber, and electric services. Pro-Line has been in business since 1992. It began as a sales and marketing company, although they saw a void in the market and transitioned into becoming a manufacturer also.
CCS Tracer Wire
While the company has many different locating wire types, there are a couple that warrants a mention here. For many reasons, the use of copper tracer wire is being replaced by copper-clad steel (CCS) tracer wire. The long and the short of it is, the CCS wire is stronger than copper, it has the same feel and flexibility of copper, has equal signal performance as copper, but it is less expensive than copper.
Linc Energy Recommends
Within our territory, we recommend Pro-Line tracer wire for demanding applications:
- PRO-TRACE HF-CCS PE30 tracer wire for open trench applications as it beats copper wire performances and reduces material costs. More information on this product is on Tracer Wire to Mark Utilities.
- PRO-TRACE HDD-CCS PE45 tracer wire for directional boring, plow-in, or challenging open trench applications. This wire has nearly seven times the breaking load of copper wire, allowing the user to run one wire as opposed to two-five copper wires to achieve the same strength. Linc Energy Systems distributes the Pro-Line Safety Products tracer wire within its entire geographical territory, including Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, portions of South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana. We also distribute in Nevada, Arizona, Southern California and Hawaii.
