Pro-Line Safety Products
Pro-Line Safety Products is the largest manufacturer of tracer wire for locating underground utilities. The company offers products for the gas, water, sewer, fiber, and electric utilities. Pro-Line has been in business since 1992. It began as a sales and marketing company, although they saw a void in the market and transitioned into becoming a manufacturer also.
CCS Tracer Wire
While the company has many different locating wire types, there are a couple that warrants a mention here. For many reasons, the use of copper tracer wire is being replaced by copper-clad steel (CCS) tracer wire. The long and the short of it is, the CCS wire is stronger than copper, it has the same feel and flexibility of copper, has equal signal performance as copper but it is less expensive than copper.
