- History
In 1990, at the infancy of commercial electronic metering, Linc Energy bid and was awarded the Xcel Energy (formerly Public Service Company of Colorado) Commercial Electronic Metering project. The company installed Mercury Instruments electronic correctors along with Metretek’s telemetry modems on commercial and industrial meters throughout Xcel Energy’s service area in Colorado and Wyoming.
While this electronic equipment has evolved over time, as all computer technology, there has been one constant since the Xcel Energy’s project’s inception over twenty years ago, and that, is Linc Energy. For over two decades, without lapse, Linc Energy has been awarded the contract to install, maintain and repair Xcel Energy’s measurement equipment for commercial and industrial meters.
One of the attributing factors to Linc Energy’s success as a contractor is our low employee turnover. In 1997, David Mann became Linc Energy’s leading technician. Today, David remains as the project manager and leads a team of trained dedicated technicians. The longevity of our staff equates to experience which means higher quality work at lower billable hours for our customers.
